I wish to quote one of my idols, Martin Luther King "I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream."  I too have a dream, a dream that one day each and every one of us will be able to live in peace and harmony with one another regardless of colour, sex, religion, sexual preference, or any other tool of division.  We as a society need to understand that those in power and those with wealth are no different than the slave masters of the past.  We are controlled in the same manner that William Lynch described to slave masters in 1712 on the banks of the James River in Virginia.

"I guarantee everyone of you that if installed correctly it will control the slaves for at least 300 hundred years. My method is simple. Any member of your family or your overseer can use it.  I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves: and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use fear, distrust, and envy for control purposes."

The use of fear, distrust and envy for the purpose of controlling people are the very same ideals that are used to divide us today.  Not much has changed in almost 300 years as we are still controlled in the very same manner that William Lynch described to slave owners.  These labels that people hide behind are nothing more than a means to divide us so that we may easily be conquered and controlled.  It is only when we are able to set aside our differences and accept people for those very differences that we will truly be united in a cause to bring about change for all of man kind.  I too have a dream that one day we will all be able to spread the lurve, not only to one another, but to each and every generation that precedes it.

Contest entry, right? Very, very well written - the only criticism I'd give would be grammatical errors and I'm not gonna irritate you with that.

The horrible thing is that racism breeds racism, and sexism breeds sexism, hate breeds hate... humanity is stuck in an endless rut. Shameful, really...
